Who is a Citizen Data Scientist?
Also referred to as Augmented Data Scientists, this user group uses Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques to develop analytical models but they are not formally trained in the field of data science.
What are they responsible for?
Their tasks are performed by relying on automated data science tools and thereby their outcomes reduce the human bias, that is apparent with expert data scientists, and hence more accurate.
They perform critical data set analysis and build equally important data models as expert data scientists and so they are highly demanding on the tool’s performance.
What questions do they seek answers for?
- How can I easily understand the organization of the data without being a database geek?
- How do I gain confidence in the underlying data (provenance etc.) so that I am confident in my conclusions?
